A powerful tool that provides an alternative to Ansys WB’s built-in compressive support boundary condition. The functionality of Ansys Classic has been transferred to the WB environment so that the user can control all compressive support parameters in a user-friendly way. This is the second version of the extension where the user can choose between two different types of contact elements. The user can choose between CONTA174 and CONTA178 and a full spectrum of advanced settings such as: Contact algorithm, Detection method, Stiffness and many others. Thanks to this extension, advanved analyses using compressive support can be performed without the need to create additional macros, directly from Ansys WB menu. This tool has two contact support definitions: based on 174 element and based on 178 element. User has to decide which option is better in his/her model. Act app has much more options then compression only support in Ansys Workbench.
