Adaptive ISPG is a technology released with Standalone LS-DYNA version R15. ISPG is a fully Implicit Lagrangian Particle Galerkin approach solving Navier-Stokes equations considering viscosity, surface tension and contact angles in liquid. This is an efficient method to solve free-surface flow problems involving strong surface tension like solder reflow, adhesive flow, compression molding which bring challenges to existing CFD solvers. Adaptive ISPG is ISPG with Adaptive remeshing to cover a wide range of complex problems. This plugin will extend usage of Ansys Mechanical LS-DYNA to Adaptive ISPG, to simplify simulation set-up and solution directly from within Mechanical.
