This Add-in is using publicly available SPEOS APIs to facilitate workflows with SPEOS sensors (Camera & Lidar) & also contains a standalone Ansys PCD viewer installation. This viewer can read data from both AVX and SPEOS.

For SPEOS users: Please install both the tools and viewer in Admin mode.
For AVX users a standalone installer of the viewer is available.


A collection of non-official speos tools to facilitate workflows with SPEOS sensors.
  • Camera Library : A predefined set of camera sensors importable to SPEOS
  • LiDAR Library : A predefined set of LiDAR sensors importable to SPEOS.
  • Geometrical LiDAR : Quickly generate geometrical point cloud from a LiDAR simulation setup. (For ground truth data for example)
  • Signal Processing : Post process your raw time of flight file from you SPEOS LiDAR simulation
  • Geometry Contributions : Easily output number of hits per geometry in your LiDAR simulation
  • PCD Viewer: Open PCD files generated from above signal processing, you can also read and convert AVX point cloud data to PCD to read.
  • PCD import: import your generated PCD to SPEOS with certain display characteristics.
  • Ambient Source Contribution : This tool permits to compute the energy contribution of different sources and generates a file that can be considered when post processing LiDAR raw time of flight simulation results.
  • TOF Plot : This tool permits to plot a channel of a raw time of flight simulation result and display the post processing result.
  • FOV Cone : This tool permits to generate a geometry representing the field of view cone of a camera sensor or a LiDAR sensor
  • Distortion File Generator: This tool permits to generate a distortion file, used by the camera sensor and the LiDAR sensor, from parameters describing the field of view.
  • Timeline : This tool permit to move components of a camera inverse simulation or a LiDAR simulation with timeline to a specific frame. You can also capture scene screen shots to generate animations.
